A distinctive diagonal stripe adorns this brightly polished peweter Hip Flask, adding a unique touch to an already classic design. The stripe features a matt-satin finish making this a real eye-catching piece.

Hip Flasks were originally used by members of the gentry in the 18th century, allowing small amounts of usually alcoholic beverages to be carried on one's person. Going back earlier in History, pig's bladders and gutten fruit were used to store liqour.
